I am so glad to have been part of such a wonderful event. When I woke this morning to participate in a breast feeding photo shoot hosted by Erin White of Erin White Photography. I have seen her breastfeeding project before and was excited she was coming to Baltimore. I did my individual session, and then we took the group photo. I would say around 20 mamas and babies attended this gathering. After the group photo Erin was was doing more individual images, I took the time to snap of a couple of images of my baby girl by the harbour.

I over heard Erin saying she was expecting another photographer, but that her help wasn't there yet. I introduced myself and asked if she would like some help. I had brought my camera, so I offered to help take photos for some of other mothers. She said "go for it" so I asked who needed photos taken.
This beautiful momma had her two babies and husband there. When asked if she wanted to sit to take the picture, she stated " I would like for my husband to hold the baby, to show his support in me breastfeeding". Such a fantastic idea!

I think this image shows more than support, it shows the beauty in breastfeeding her two babbies, the love of her children, the support of her husband, and the wonderful connection and love between all of them.
I saw this wonderful mom of triplets walking around earlier in the morning,. Not only were the babies such cuties, their mother was beautiful as well. Later in the morning, in a Facebook group, she posted this;
"I came into this thinking that it would be a fun morning with some awesome ladies for a good cause but I never really considered how it would impact me personally. I came to the shoot planning to wear a skirt and use my wrap to cover the majority of my top but something amazing happened while I was there. Other women, just like me, were taking their clothes off in preparation and I got inspired. I heard and saw that other women have the same fears and feelings about their post pregnancy bodies that I do, I learned that I am not alone in my self-conscious ways and, I learned that my body is nothing to be ashamed of. I have carried 4 beautiful children, 3 of which were at the same time. My body has fed and comforted them after they were born. My body, is amazing! And I needed this morning to remind me of that. Thank you, thank you Erin for doing this project and thank you to everyone else who came out and helped me realize that we are all beautiful".

I simply have no words for this, it's all so inspiring.
Lastly, when researching locations, I came across this spot. It's a wall next to the American visionary art museum. I thought this would be the absolute perfect backdrop for this session.

How perfect is the love of nursing! The love of your body, and the love between you and your child.
I am so happy and thankful to have been a part of this project. I can't wait to see the group images from Erin, I'm sure they will be just as breathtaking as her others.
