Every year you have your family pictures done, the photographer is having a mini session and this is perfect because you only want a couple pictures. Said photographer books your session, you show up the day of and this is your first meeting with them, and you are nervous about how your children will act. The photographer does her best, gets a few good pictures of you all smiling and looking happy, even though the whole session was stressful. Then the photographer shares a few on Facebook, you are happy with the couple of photos she shares. Then the photographer emails you and says your CD is ready for pick up. You then meet, get your images where you upload them to Facebook, and place the cd in a pile of papers or in a desk drawer. You think "I will print these when I have time" however the disk is still sitting in the same spot. You don't remember that day, or ever look back at the pictures, but every year you do this.
Does this sound like your experience with a photographer? This doesn't have to be this way.
Your friend says that she knows this awesome photographer, and that you need to check them out. You e-mail the photographer, and they contact you back. The photographer asks you a few questions about what you would like in your session. Or the photographer offers to meet with you to discuss the session. After all the questions are answered, you schedule your session date. You are feeling confident because you know exactly what to expect. You have met the photographer before hand so you are comfortable with them and know that they will be able to capture exactly what you are looking for. You finish the session, had a great time playing and being yourself, that you didn't realize it was even a photography session. It felt like you were having family time. The session ends, and a couple weeks later the photographer and you meet up again. The photographer shows you this wonderful slideshow of your images. You cry, and are thrilled. You are happy to remember that day as every image you see brings tears to your eyes. The photographer then shows you her products where you order prints and other items to share and display these wonderful images. A couple weeks later the products arrive and you are so happy you have the images displayed at your house. Over time when someone comes over you are so happy you show them and tell them all about your experience. This brings back all those wonderful memories about the session. When your kids are no longer little, and they have kids of their own, you will still have these wonderful memories to be able to share with them.
